Pan/The Faun/The Fonz

A sketch of Doug Jones as Pan/The Faun in Guillermo Del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth.
Whenever somebody speaks the literal translation of the movie's original Spanish Language title El laberinto del fauno - The Faun's Labyrinth - the phonetics always make me think of Henry Winkler as Arthur (The Fonz) Fonzarelli, and I can't help but see the image below.

An old sketch of Peter Weller as Robocop in Paul Verhoeven's sci-fi black comedy/action movie.

Forty years ago today, on July 20th 1969, Neil Alden Arsmstrong took "one small step" onto the surface of the moon, forever cementing his place in history.

Olivia Munn

A quick caricature sketch of TV presenter Olivia Munn. I don't really know much about her, but she has an interesting face

Great Scots No3 - Ewen Bremner

The third in a series of caricatures of famous Scottish people, actor Ewen Bremner.

Probably best known for his portrayal of the character Spud in Danny Boyle's movie version of Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting, Ewen has also appeared in movies such as Black Hawk Down, Pearl Harbor, Snatch, Judge Dredd and Alien vs Predator.

For someone who pretty much looks like a caricature in real life, he was surprisingly difficult to capture. My first sketch actually made him look more average than he does (kind an anti-caricature), and while my second attempt was better, it still wasn't quite there.

Luckily, it all came out okay in the end with the final rendering.

Roddy McDowall caricature

I was a big Planet of the Apes fan as a kid (still am) and decided to try a caricature of the mainstay of the movies (except for Beneath the Planet of the Apes and TV series - Roddy McDowall.

It's one of my favourite things that I've done.

Fink Angel & Ratty

A study of Fink's ravaged face, from years of living in the irradiated Cursed Earth:

I left Ratty to last, because I wasn't sure how well I could paint a rat. Here are versions with and without:
