Giovanni Ribisi Caricature

A caricature of the actor Giovanni Ribisi

Clea DuVall Caricature

Another caricature, this time of the actress Clea DuVall.

And the final:

Willem Dafoe Caricature

My Ron Perlman caricature seemed to prove popular, so I've decided to do more. This one is the actor Willem Dafoe.

Some stages:

And the final:

Wolverine again...

A collaboration between artist Rodolphe Guenoden and myself. Rod did the sketch, I did the colours.

More Sophia

Some other Sophia Loren pictures I've done in the last month, of varying time and quality:

This one is my favourite:

Sophia

A portrait of italian movie star Sophia Loren.

I'd say she's probably the person I've found most difficult to get a decent likeness of so far. I'm still not entirely satisfied with this one.

Here are various stages along the way:

And the final:

This is also the first in a occasional series of European Actresses

Ron Perlman Caricature

It's been quite a while since I tried my hand at caricaturing, but I felt like giving it a shot.

Even though it has some resemblence to Will Ferrell, it's actually Ron (Hellboy) Perlman.

Magua

A portrait of the actor Wes Studi as the character Magua in "Last of the Mohicans"

Rihanna... take 2

After my previous sketches based on Rihanna came out nothing like her (largely due to the self-imposed 30 minute time constraint), I decided to do a proper portrait of her.

I've got a reputation for likenesses to uphold, after all.

Three stages in the process:

... and the final. I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

Joker x 3

Portraits of the three actors to who have played the Joker in Batman movies.

Cesar Romero (1966); Jack Nicholson (1989); Heath Ledger (2008)

Frazetta Homage

An attempt to do a jungle girl in a semi-Frank Frazetta style for a challenge on the web forum of Imagine FX magazine.

Fire and Ice

Two sketches of the Human Torch and Mr Freeze.

Kristin Kreuk

It's more than a year since I painted a portrait of Kristin Kreuk, so it was about time for another. It also counts as an entry into my alliterative series.

I had originally intended to leave it as B&W, but then decided to add some quick colours

One and a half hours with Rihanna...

Three sketches of a half hour each, based on photos of Rihanna. Done for a Jam on the Drawing Board.

None of them particularly look like her, but I'm thinking of doing a better portrait just to prove to myself that I can.
